Mortgage Broker Associates, Inc. is a locally owned and operated company established in Edmonds, Washington in 1999 by David Erickson. Mr. Erickson has been in the mortgage industry since the 1980s. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Washington Association of Mortgage Brokers and is the WAMB President-Elect for 2007. The business was founded on a desire to provide quality, personalized service to assist all types of homebuyers and investors in obtaining the right type of financing for their needs. As a broker for hundreds of different local and national wholesale lenders, we have access to virtually every type of loan program available in today’s marketplace. We also offer commerical real estate financing.

Our lenders have programs to meet the needs of a wide variety of consumers, including first-time homebuyers, commission-only or self-employed borrowers, foreign nationals, or borrowers with limited or non-prime credit. They offer a number of 100% financing or low downpayment solutions for most credit profiles, as well as stated income/asset or no documentation loans. This enables good credit borrowers to qualify for loans more easily, and borrowers with non-prime credit to qualify when they otherwise couldn’t. This may be why 2 out of 3 Americans choose to work with a broker rather than a bank for their home financing needs.

Because of the high volume & quality of loans we handle, Mortgage Broker Associates receives preferred pricing from a number of wholesale lenders, and we internally underwrite and bank a portion of the loans we broker. This means better rates for our clients and gives us greater control over the loan process, allowing us to close loans quickly– sometimes in as little as 5 business days!
