Catholic Credit Union is a member owned financial cooperative, which means that those who become members of the credit union are the "owners" of the Credit Union. Catholic Credit Union was originally set up to serve Catholics in Yakima County.

In 1992 the credit union received a merger request from the Catholic Credit Union of Kittitas County. The Board of Directors approved the merger, which took place in May of 1992.

We were able to expand our field of membership in 2007 to those who live, work, and worship or attend school in the following Central Washington Counties: Adams, Benton, Chelan, Douglas, Franklin, Grant, Kittitas, Klickitat and Yakima.

From our inception in 1951 we continue to strive to give the highest savings rates, along with the lowest loan rates on a continuous basis for our membership.

We are a not-for-profit financial institution, that doesn't charge outrageous fees for services like other commercial financial institutions. Being member owned and member driven means that our members always come first.

By keeping our offerings simple, we are able to consistently offer some of the most competitive rates in the financial industry. We can focus our attention on the various Savings and Checking products, Mortgage and Loan products (including VISA), IRA’s, and Certificate Accounts.

What's a Credit Union?
Credit unions are not-for-profit financial cooperatives. What exactly does this mean? Basically, it sets us apart from other financial institutions. We are governed by a volunteer board of directors, generally have better savings and loan rates and charge fewer fees. Plus, with our "people helping people" philosophy, we are dedicated to providing the highest level of personalized member service. Our members' deposits are federally insured to at least $250,000 by the National Credit Union Administration, a U.S. Government Agency.
